Professor Humeyir Huseyn Ahmadov is a distinguished Azerbaijani scholar in pedagogy and educational sciences. He is a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor and an experienced academic administrator whose research focuses on the history and theory of pedagogy, modernization of education, educational policy and teacher training.
Throughout his academic career, he has contributed extensively to educational research, curriculum development, academic publishing and the preparation of scientific and pedagogical personnel. He is the author and co-author of more than 500 scientific and educational works, including monographs, textbooks, teaching manuals, methodological resources and educational programs.

Professor Ahmadov has published scientific works in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. His publications include ten monographs, textbooks for secondary schools, colleges and higher education institutions, teaching manuals, methodological materials and educational programs.
He is also a co-author of the textbooks Labor Education for Grades 5–8 and Technology for Grades 2–9, in addition to numerous teaching and methodological resources prepared for educators.
In this major monograph, published in Azerbaijani and English, Professor Ahmadov examines the socio-pedagogical developments associated with the fundamental transformation of Azerbaijan’s educational policy and education system. He analyses the complexities and contradictions of the reform process and provides a scholarly justification for the necessity and inevitability of educational modernization.

Under his scientific supervision, researchers have successfully defended dissertations and obtained academic degrees in the field of educational sciences.
Biography
Hümeyir Hüseyn oğlu Əhmədov (born 14 August 1958 in Baku, Azerbaijan) is a distinguished Azerbaijani educator, researcher, and academic leader in the field of pedagogy and education science. He graduated with honors from the V. I. Lenin Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute and began his career as a teacher before transitioning to research and academic roles. He defended his doctoral dissertation on modernizing higher education and was awarded the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences degree in 2012 and the title of Professor in 2016.
Professor Əhmədov currently serves as Head of the Department of Scientific and Pedagogical Staff Training at the Azerbaijan Republic’s Institute of Education. His research covers educational theory, education policy, and the legal foundations of education. He has authored numerous monographs, textbooks, and research articles in Azerbaijani, Russian, English, Georgian, and Turkish.
He is a member of several international academic organizations, including the Russian State Education Academy, the Pedagogical and Social Sciences Academy, and the International Academy of Education Informatization. His work has been recognized with national and international honors, including the “K. D. Ushinsky” Medal and Azerbaijan’s “Tərəqqi” Medal.
